On July 10, 2019, Calvin College becomes Calvin University. In addition to other celebratory events on campus, the Big Data and Hadoop Users Group of West Michigan will be meeting at 6:30 in North Hall 276.
We look forward to a presentation by Bill Meade, PhD, entitled “Understandable SKU Analysis.” This is the story of how a simple business question was translated into a simple data model and resulted in a 40% increase in Return on Sales.
Come early to participate in the Calvin University Celebration. Food and games will be available beginning at 4:30, and we’ll delay the start of Dr. Meade’s presentation until 6:30 to allow everyone a chance to grab something to eat at one of several food trucks that will be on hand. (No need to register for the Calvin University Celebration, we have already pre-registered the MeetUp.)
Dr. Meade is a data modeler, economist, and founder of GrokStats (https://grokstats.com).
