Assistant Attorney General

Thomas Quasarano is an Assistant Attorney General in the State Operations Division.  Prior to joining the Department of Attorney General in March 1988, he was in private law practice for 13 years.  Tom has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and Master of Laws and Juris Doctor degrees.  Tom has served in various divisions of the Department and since the latter part of 1994 has been legal counsel for state departments and agencies on the operation of the Freedom of Information Act and the Open Meetings Act.  He also was involved as one of the state’s attorneys in the City of Detroit Chapter 9 bankruptcy litigation.
