The volume of healthcare data is estimated to exceed 2300 exabytes by 2020 – mainly in the form of unstructured data. This presentation will give an overview of the enormous opportunities and potential pitfalls in analyzing large healthcare datasets. Dr. Green will review healthcare data types, data sources, and dataset availability. He will also give in-sights into clinical and research applications of health data analytics and cover known limitations and observed unintended consequences of big data project.
